The 7th annual Eastern Iowa Heartland Nova Reunion will be making a cruise stop in downtown Washington this summer. The Washington City Council approved designating parking spots along the square Friday June 20th, from approximately 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for the antique cars. Bill McDowell with the Reunion explained that the three-day event is taking place in Riverside and some of the participants like to go on a cruise and visit area towns and their restaurants.

There was some concern from council members regarding parking spots inhibiting customers from visiting downtown businesses, but City Administrator Brent Hinson explained that these car owners would be customers to the businesses.
