Voters in the Mid-Prairie School District will decide the fate of a proposed bond issue of more than ten million dollars today. Those interested in casting a vote will have from 7 this morning until 8 p.m. to make it to their respective polling place.

There are three locations for the bond referendum; the Kalona Community Building, Parkside Activities Center in Wellman and the West Chester Heritage Building.

If the bond issue is approved, Mid-Prairie’s total tax rate would increase to $12.40, which is still lower than most districts in the area. The projects this bond issue would fund can be found below.
