Iowans can now vote in the June 3rd primary. Early voting for the primary election begins today. Voters can request an absentee ballot by mail or may vote early in person at the courthouse in the county auditor’s office. To register to vote visit the auditor’s office or download the official form from the Secretary of State’s website and return it to the auditor’s office.

Republicans in Washington County have two contested positions with two candidates for the Board of Supervisors District 3 seat and two for the County Attorney position. Democrats only have one contested race, the Board of Supervisors District 3 seat.

Contested Republican Primaries:
County Attorney: Larry Brock, Shawn Showers
Board of Supervisors District 3: Abe Miller, Scott Davis

Contested Democrat Primaries:
Board of Supervisors District 3: Ceanne Alvine, Keith Cutkomp
