Washington Community Foundation Presents More than $29,000

More than $29,000 was awarded to 11 area programs by the Community Foundation of Washington County. The largest award was presented to the Washington, Iowa Betterment Foundation Endowment for $8,400. The John and Phyllis Jackson Music Scholarship Endowment with Washington Community Schools, the Claude and Mary Greiner Family Scholarship with Mid-Prairie Foundation, the Dean S. Hasty Fund for the Washington County Humane Society and the Dean S. Hasty Endowment for Camp REECE each received more than $3,000.The annual presentation was held at the Kalona Historical Village yesterday afternoon.
