Washington High School’s physics team was one of 18 who participated at Thursday’s State of Iowa Physics Competition at the University of Northern Iowa. Washington students placed in two events. Alex Kleinmeyer and Ashley Rausch’s mousetrap car placed third overall. In the challenge problem, Washington took third with 190.08 points from Marisa Powers and Caitlin Yeggy.

The top three schools in the competition were Marquette Catholic, Decorah and Cedar Falls.
