Area superintendents and school officials toured the new Kirkwood Washington Regional Center yesterday morning. Progress continues and workers were on site installing carpet, working on drop ceilings and installing the exterior stone. Tera Pickens, Director of the Center, states the facility will be about 40,000 square feet with over 20 classrooms, including lab spaces for different areas of study. For photos of yesterday’s tour of the facility visit KCII’s Facebook page.
Also, there are still openings in some of the academies for atea high school students. Pickens states there is still space in the transportation academy, advanced manufacturing and engineering academy, information technology and graphics and communications media.
