Canoe and nature lovers have the opportunity to join the Washington County Conservation on a relaxing canoe trip down the Skunk River. Canoeists will travel down the Skunk River from McKain’s River Access to the Brighton Access. They will canoe through some scenic woodland tracts, which include Brinton Timber. In years past they have seen deer, birds and hear frog calls. A shore lunch will be provided along the way. Participants are asked to bring sunscreen and bug repellent. The trip begins at 10am and ends by about 2pm. To register call Washington Kirkwood. The cost for this program is 5 dollars and is limited to 18 participants.
