Columbus Junction held their boy/girl Wildcat relays last night, and both Columbus Junction and Lone Tree had their teams running.

For the Columbus boys, they got second in the long jump with Mauricio Ramirez, Mark Ramirez won the shot put at 42’9.5”, Mauricio Ramirez won the 100 meter dash in 11.23, they were second in the 4×200, Mauricio came back and won the 200 in 22.95, and Ricardo Roman was second in the 800 meter run.

For the Lone Tree boys, Ross Swinton was second in the 1600 meter run, and they won the Sprint Medley in 3:54.67 and a team of Jared Hudson, Nick Viner, Travis Gillham and Jake Viner.

West Burlington- Notre Dame won the meet with 170.5 points, Columbus was third with 75, and Lone Tree was fifth with 62.5.

For the Columbus girls, Shania Boyd was second in the long jump at 15’2”, they won the shuttle with a team of Laura Mincks, Shania Boyd, Monaye Matthews and Kelsey Pretz in a time of 1:13.31, they were second in the 4×200, Taylor Hills and Kylie Marin went one and two in the 800, with Hills winning in 2:37.17, Kelsey Pretz won the 200 in 27.78, Laura Mincks was second in the 400 hurdles, and they were second in the 4×100.

For Lone Tree, their best finish was a sixth place finish from Kaycee Kane in the discus at 77’10.25”.

Columbus won the girls meet with 118 points, while Lone Tree was eighth with one point.
