The Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks are holding their soccer invitational today.

The Golden hawks will host Cedar Valley Christian, Fairifield and Washington at the tournament.

Mid-Prairie is coming of a frustration win earlier in the week, while the Demons are starting to get votes in the top-25 polls, so this tournament will not lack quality teams.

The Golden Hawks are 7-2 this season, and have lost two one goal games in overtime to West Liberty. In their wins, the Golden Hawks have only allowed three goals in seven games.

The Demons are 4-2, and coming off a tough 4-1 loss to Keokuk who they beat 4-2 earlier in the year. The Demons did lose to Mid-Prairie 2-1 in their second game of the season as well.

Fairfield is 4-5 and has lost to Washington, but beat Cedar Valley Christian. They have not played Mid-Prairie this year.

Cedar Valley Christian is 1-6 this season, and has only scored two goals in those seven games.

Today’s tournament has a 10 AM start time.
