The IMS soccer team opens up playoff soccer play tonight when they host Chariton.

IMS finished with a winning record, and played pretty good soccer at the end of the season. IMS never lost by more than three goals, and it only happened twice all season. IMS was also only shutout once all season, and that was the second game of the year. Freshman Alex Kurtz is the top player for IMS with 14 goals and 4 assists, he leads both Kirby Shetler who has 12 goals and Kobi Russom who has nine goals. There is no shortage of scoring for IMS, and with Reggie Hostetler back in net, they have a good last defense as well.

Chariton is 4-8 coming into this game and has lost their last five straight. Asa St. Lawrence is the top player with seven goals and seven assists, and he is followed by Chasen Blue with seven goals.

Tonight’s game is at IMS with a 6 P.M. kickoff.
