On senior night it was the graduating class that stepped up Tuesday in Kalona to help IMS to a 3-2 win over visiting Holy Trinity. Kobi Russom gave IMS an early lead with a cross that ended up spinning into the goal with extreme english. In the 25th minute Spencer Shrock drove a corner kick into the box where Jameson Lammer was waiting to head the ball into the goal. Lammer’s first varsity tally made it 2-0 IMS. In the 37th minute Kirby Shelter found the back of the net to make it 3-0 IMS at the half.

In the second half the IMS defense was tested. Holy Trinity scored their first goal of the night in the 48th minute to make it 3-1. In the 58th minute Holy Trinity would score once more but IMS used strong possession play down the stretch to help run out the clock and preserve the win. With the victory IMS is now 8-7 on the year and will play Friday night in West Point against Holy Trinity as part of the Southeast Iowa Super Conference Torunament.
