The Iowa Mennonite soccer team is coming off a big offensive game against Central Lee, and will play Wapello tonight.

IMS is 4-3 this season, and is led by Alex Kurtz with seven goals, and Kobi Russom with five goals. Kirby Shetler and Enrique Sanchez both add four goals.

Wapello is 3-4 and is coming off an 8-2 loss to Danville. Their leading scorers are Tony Ramirez and Colby Weir, both with six goals, but then it drops down to two goals for the third leading scorer.

IMS head coach Marcus Miller said Wapello is a team that is vastly improved.

“They’re a team that has improved a whole lot over the last couple of years, and we struggled down there,” Miller said. “So we’ll them here [today], and I expect them to play really well.”

IMS and Wapello play tonight at IMS with a 5 o’clock kickoff.
