The KCII Severe Weather Action Team went into action Sunday to cover a severe thunderstorm warning in Washington and Keokuk Counties at approximately 3:30 p.m. Golfball-sized hail was reported near Brighton.

A tornado warning was issued for Washington and Henry Counties. A tornado was reported on the ground near Donnellson at about 4:20 p.m.

In a separate storm cell, a tornado was reported in the Ottumwa area.

The severe thunderstorm warning for Washington County was extended and expired at 5:15 p.m.

A tornado watch remains in the listening area until 7 p.m. this evening.
