Three men from Bloomfield were arrested in Fairfield Monday afternoon. At around 4:30, officers responded to the 2700 block of West Burlington Avenue, where an individual was reportedly taken against their will. The suspects and victim were located about three miles away at 1500 South Main Street.
Bloomfield residents 24-year-old John Morris, 18-year-old Donovan Wintermote and a 17-year-old were arrested. They’re charged with false imprisonment, which is punishable by up to one year in prison, and simple assault, punishable by up to 30 days in jail and a $625 fine.
According to Jefferson County Attorney, Timothy Dille, it’s believed the incident had to do with a dispute over money.
