This April Washington received approximately four-and-a-half inches of rain, nearly half of what fell in April of last year. In 2013, more than nine inches of rain fell in the area. Last year’s spring was the wettest to date with nearly 19 inches of rain during March, April and May. The norm for the season is approximately 10 inches according to State Climatologist Harry Hillaker.

So far this spring we have received five inches of rain and more than seven inches of snow.
