More than 400 American flags are on display this Memorial Day weekend in Elm Grove Cemetery. The Jones Funeral Home started the Avenue of Flags project more than 30 years ago in 1981 with about 60 flags. Marty Beenblossom of Jones and Eden Funeral Home who helps with the annual project shares it is a very humbling experience to see all of the flags which represent someone, particularly veterans who served our country.

He invites the public to take the time to visit Elm Grove Cemetery this weekend. The flags will remain up until Monday evening. For the full interview with Beenblossom about Memorial Day and the Avenue of the Flags click here.
