Washington Baseball Wins First Game, Opens at Home Tonight

The Washington Demon baseball team started their season last night with Eddieville-Blakesburg and got the win 5-1. Tonight, they move back home for their home opener against Clear Creek Amana.

The Demons return a solid core of players from last years team, including some young arms that proved to be effective..

Washington looks to Elijah Wood to be their ace, but will call upon Tanner Knupp to throw some as well. In the field, Washington gets back Jacob Green, Knupp, Walker Breard, Blake Weidman and Wood. Mason Quigley should join the team once the boys soccer season wraps up.

The Demons will host Clear Creek Amana tonight for their first game of the season. The Clippers bring back three seniors from last years team that went 13-25.
