Washington Coaching Staff Changes for Next Season

The Washington community school district has released the names of some coaches that are moving into new jobs, while others are saying good-bye.

Coaches that will have new positions, include: Ben Obermann taking over ninth grade girls basketball, Mark Weidman has been promoted to the assistant varsity baseball coach, Jolleen Cerka will be the head archery coordinator, John Seymour is the new assistant archery coach, and James Harris will take over the throwing coach position for Scott Danielson for the Demon boys track and field team.

Coaches that will be leaving next year include: Chelsey Danielson as the assistant girls varsity basketball coach, Marissa Riffel is stepping down as both the assistant girls soccer coach and the head JV softball coach, and Lindsey Steen is resigning as the assistant volleyball coach.

All of these moves will take place for their respective sports next season.
