A choir of Ugandan children will perform in Washington this week. Pastor Maureen Howard of Immanuel Lutheran Church explains the choir is comprised of mostly orphaned children from the Watoto Village who were taken in and raised. The children serve as ambassadors for children of Africa who are orphaned due to HIV, AIDS, war and poverty and according to World Hunger Facts nearly 11 million children die each year before the age of five. The choir will sing and dance Thursday at 7 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, the event is free to the pubilc.
