Washington’s Michael Moore has won the nomination for the Republicans for Iowa Senate District 39. KCII News contacted the Iowa Secretary of State’s office after noticing discrepancies on its results website Wednesday morning. The state’s website was only reporting results from Johnson County and not the entire district, which also includes Washington and Keokuk counties. With full results in, Michael Moore wins with 49% of the votes with 1,444, Bob Anderson received 955 votes and Royce Phillips had 530 votes.
