University of Iowa students will take the stage next week for an area fundraiser at the Washington Community Center. Amanda Greiner, President of Community Chest, explains there will be a performance by a traveling student group with a musical journey about women over the decades. Over 50 songs will be part of the show including I Will Survive and It’s Raining Men. A free will donation with a suggestion of $5 will be collected, with no set seating.

Also, starting at 6 p.m. there will be a vendor fair prior to the show. Greiner adds the money raised stays in Washington County to be used by Community Chest agencies, which includes Lending Hands, the YMCA and Boy Scouts, among others. The “Respect” show begins at 7 p.m. on June 25th.
