Take care of animals as the weather grows hotter; temperatures are expected to climb above 90 degrees this week. Never leave a pet in a parked car. According to the Humane Society, on an 85-degree day the temperature inside a car with the windows slightly open can reach 102 degrees in just 10 minutes. After 30 minutes the car can be 120 degrees. Also, keep humidity levels in mind – if humidity gets too high animals are unable to cool themselves.

If pets are kept outside, make sure they have plenty of shade and water.
