The Mid-Prairie baseball team takes on Cascade tonight at Perfect game field in Cedar Rapids.

The Golden Hawks have lost 13 of their last 17 and are looking for a spark. Carson Gingerich is the top hitter for the Golden Hawks with a .400 average, while Spencer Shalla comes in a No. 2 with a .350 average, but no Golden Hawk is running away with the batting title.

On the mound, Seth Eash gets the most work with a 4-1 record, 1.2 ERA and 46 strikeouts.

Cascade is 16-5 overall, with Haris Takes leading the way with a .457 average, two homers and 20 RBI’s. Trace Hoffman is behind him with a .395 average and 14 RBI’s. Six players have averages over 300 for Cascade, with two that are under .300 having four homers and 34 RBI’s combined.

On the mound, Hoffman is the top arm with a 3-0 record, .82 ERA, 21 strikeouts and opponents hit just .083 off of him.
