The Greater Jefferson County Fair wraps up this weekend. It began on Monday at the fairgrounds in Fairfield.

On Wednesday, 18-year-old Brooke Stever was crowned the Fair Queen. She graduated from Fairfield High School this spring. As queen, Stever will represent Jefferson County at the Iowa State Fair August 2nd through the 9th. In the Little Miss Contest, 8-year-old Elenore Houston was named the winner.

This year’s fair will conclude with the demo derby at the grandstand beginning at 7. Fireworks will follow. Tonight’s grandstand event is the truck and tractor pull. It starts at 7:30.
