IMS Baseball Hosts Four Team Classic

The IMS baseball team is holding their IMS classic today, with four teams in attendance.

IMS is hosting Danville, Highland and Keokuk today for their classic.

IMS plays Danville to lead off the tournament at 10 AM this morning. IMS is 8-10 with their lead bat in Dallas Nye hitting .396 , with 15 RBI’s and three home runs. On the mound, the top arm is Payton Miller with a 2-0 record, 1.22 ERA and 24 strikeouts.

After that game wraps up, it is Highland and Keokuk starting at noon. Highland’s top bat is Lane Welsh with a .382 average, but then drops off by .1 after that to Jacob Michel at .282. On the mound, Chase Rath has a zero ERA in 15 1/3, and Jacob Wilson is 4-1 with a 2.13 ERA and 40 K’s.

The losers of both games will play in the consolation game at 2 PM, and the winners will play in the championship at 4 PM.

KCII will bring you the consolation or championship game, depending on which on IMS make it to right here on AM and FM KCII and under radio plus. Tune in for pregame around a half and hour ahead of the game.
