IMS Versus Pekin in Baseball Take Two

The IMS baseball team gets their second crack at Pekin tonight.

IMS won their first meeting 5-3, but are coming off a two hit loss to Lone Tree. Brett Brenneman is the leading hitter for IMS with a .371 average, but Reggie Hostetler and Dallas Nye are the run producers with averages over .350, and four combined home runs and 19 combined RBI’s.

On the mound, IMS has a lot of different arms that have thrown with Tanner Leyden being the main arm. IMS will throw Dallas Nye who has a 4.28 ERA or Peyton Miller who is 1-0 with a zero ERA and 13 strikeouts.

Pekin has a monster batting order with Keaton Winn leading the way with a .463 average, 15 RBI’s and two home runs, and Kolby Allsup behind him with a .442 average and seven RBI’s. Four other players have averages of .324 or better and one is over .400.

On the mound for Pekin, Keaton Winn and Zach Sloan both have ERAs of a little over .5 and have 79 strikeouts combined.
