The KCII Severe Weather Action Team responded to a thunderstorm warning in Washington County and greater southeast Iowa this afternoon at 3:22 p.m. The storm produced golf ball sized hail, hail approximately one inch in diameter and wind gusts reaching 67 miles per hour at the Washington Municipal Airport. Also, two tenths of an inch of rain was recorded in downtown Washington. Damage was reported on Coppock Road, including a vehicle in the ditch. Warnings were also issued for Jefferson, Henry and Johnson counties. The warning expired at 4:15 p.m.
