Interviews for a new Keota Secondary Principal were held last week, and a decision could be made later this week. Before Superintendent Mark Schneider makes his recommendation to the school board at Thursday’s meeting, he will be doing background checks, contacting references and reviewing notes taken during the interviews.

Four candidates interviewed for the principal position, which will also involve serving as dean of students at Mid-Prairie High School 20% of the time.

The current principal also serves as athletic director, and Schneider says they hope a teacher or group of teachers step up to take on those responsibilities.
