A church in rural Henry County that’s been around for more than half a century is holding a celebration this weekend. Built in the 1950’s, Fern Cliff Evangelical Free Church is celebrating the 60th anniversary of its ministry.
Pastor Bob Spilger says they expect many former members who have since moved out of the area to return for Sunday’s event. He adds they’ll also have past member Lois McNeill present to discuss Reach Global – Russia, a mission she and her husband established to train pastors in Russia.
The day begins with words from the International Director for Christian Resources Ministries International at 9:15 and concludes in the afternoon with an informal reception meant to give the congregation time to share memories.
