The Mid-Prairie softball team plays Tipton tonight in double header action.

The Golden Hawks come into the game 14-9 on the season, and 10-3 in conference play. They are led at the plate by the consistent bats of Amber Kral hitting .585 with 26 RBI’s, four homeruns and a triple, and Alex Rath with a .529 average, five RBI’s and three triples. The Golden Hawks have seven players hitting .314 or better on the team, and combined have 13 homeruns.

In the circle, Taylor Kurtz does the most work with a 2.99 ERA, 53 strikeouts and opponents hitting .291 off of her.

Tipton is having a rough year, sitting at 1-15 on the season. Their best bat is Michele O’Haver with a .413 average and seven RBI’s. They have just four players hitting .300 or over. The Tigers have also thrown five different arms in Varsity games, with Kelsey Lange and Alyssa Crock both taking most of the work, but have ERA’s over 10 and more walks than they do strikeouts.
