The Alzheimer’s Association is raising awareness and funds by promoting The Longest Day events. In Washington, the United Presbyterian Home is hosting an event from sun up to sundown Friday. Amy Kleese Wellness and Fitness Director explains residents and community members will be exercising on Nu-Step machines, a recumbent stair step exercise. She adds research has found correlations between healthy hearts and healthy brains. To sign up to take part in the event call the U.P. Home and to learn more listen to today’s Washington Page.

Also, the quilt pictured above was donated as a fundraiser. To place a bid contact the U.P. Home.
