The girls state golf meet has wrapped up, and both Mid-Prairie and Washington had some good individual placements from their girls.

For Washington, Megan Buitendorp finished in ninth place with a 181, shooting a 90 on her second 18. Washington as a team finished eighth with 780 strokes. Sarah Waite finished with a 194, Deanna Peiffer shot a 201, Maddie Hora finished with a 208, Brenna Burlingame shot a 212 and Brenna Weidman finished the scoring with a 234.

Cedar Rapids Xavier won the meet with a 691.

In 3A, Mid-Prairie was led by the 24th place performance of Allyson Wertz who shot a 188, and Courtney Cayton was right behind her with a 190 to finish 25th. Sydney Scarff came in with a 191, Laura Yoder had a 201, Mick VanWinkle shot a 208 and Olivia Nisly shot a 237. The Golden Hawks finished sixth with a total of 770. Atlantic won the meet with a 695.
