The Washington Demon softball team travels to the Quad Cities for a second round playoff game with Davenport Assumption.

The Demons came up with an offensive onslaught against Ft. Madison on Thursday, and look to continue the trend against the highly ranked Lady Knights.

Washington is led at the plate by Grace Redlinger with a .393 average, 20 RBI’s and two homers, but everyone’s average has started to creep up, with Stephanie Fishback at a .361, Ashley Rausch at a .336 and Chayse Jaspering up to a .310. Rausch will be called upon once again in the circle with her 1.77 ERA, 155 strikeouts and opponents average of just .178.

Emma Valainis is second with a .411 average and 28 RBI’s. Pitching wise, Jamie Miller is the top arm with a 12-5 record, 1.61 ERA and 108 strikeouts, but Assumption has three arms they can throw at any given time.
