The Washington Demon baseball team hosts Danville tonight.

The Demons are coming off a big win over Keokuk and a suspended game. Walker Breard has knocked in four homers and leads the way at the plate for Washington with a .411 average, while Tanner Knupp and Jacob Green sit in the two and three spot.

On the mound for Washington, the top arm is Elijah Wood, but with having just pitched against Keokuk, look for the young arms of Michael Gier or Zach Londberg to make their way to the mound for the start tonight. Both pitchers have 3-1 records as freshmen.

Danville has lost three in a row, after going on a five game winning streak. Hunter Peebler is their top bat with a .509 average, three homers and six doubles. Austin Malicki is the second bat with a .343 average, and Mitchel Martin is third with a .308 average.

On the mound for Danville are 10 different arms, and three of them are 2-0. There is no clear starter for Danville, but their three 2-0 pitcher have ERA’s of 0, 1.08 and 3.5.

Tonight’s game is at Washington with first pitch at 7.
