The Mid-Prairie softball team takes their 22-10 record into the playoffs tonight in first round action.

The Golden Hawks face Louisa-Muscatine in first round action as they make their push to another state softball appearance.

Amber Kral has had a standout year as a sophomore with a .587 average, 50 RBI’s and 10 homers, while Alex Rath has helped as well with her .538 average nine RBI’s, and team leading 44 runs scored.

Taylor Kurtz has done what she has been asked to do in the circle. With a 13-4 record, Kurtz has a 2.68 ERA, 74 strikeouts, and opponents hit .280.

L-M comes in 8-18 on the regular season. They have four bats hitting over .300 with Randyn Carter, a freshmen, sitting on top with a .430 average, 22 RBI’s and three homers. Lauren Hargrave is second on the team with a .329 average.

In the circle, Hargrave is the top arm with a 5-11 record, 3.93 ERA, 60 strikeouts, and opponents hit .244 off of her.
