The Mid-Prairie softball team will try again with No. 3 in 2A Durant tonight for the division lead.

Mid-Prairie comes in to tonight’s game having not played since last week. Amber Kral sits eighth in hitting in the entire state of Iowa. Kral sits with a .598 average, nine home runs, two triples, 10 doubles and 43 RBI’s. The scary part is that her teammate Alex Rath is 25th in the entire state of Iowa with a .559 average, three triples, eight doubles and 40 runs scored.

In the circle, Mid-Prairie throws Taylor Kurtz first with a 2.94 ERA, 59 strikeouts and opponents hitting .290 off of her. Emma Troyer is arm No. 2 with a 5.65 ERA and 43 strikeouts.

Durant is ranked No. 3 in 2A, and comes in at 23-8 on the season. They have six girls hitting over .300 on the season, and are led by the bat of Anna Bently with a .423 average, three homers and 43 RBI’s. Shannon Telsrow hits .414 with 32 runs scored.

In the circle, Bently is the top pitcher with a 1.55 ERA, 88 strikeouts and opponents hit .232, while Courtney Ralfs is the second arm with a 9-2 record and 2.14 ERA.
