Residents of Kalona are being asked for help as the city prepares for the downtown celebration. The event scheduled for August 23rd was started four years ago to celebrate the completion of the downtown renovation. Those who live in the city are invited to nominate others for their leadership or public service. Nomination forms for Kalona’s community awards are being accepted through the month of July. The forms are available at city hall.
