Kalona’s water is meeting state standards. At their last meeting, the City Council adopted the Consumer Confidence Report which outlines the city’s water quality and provides an overview of the testing that’s done daily, weekly and monthly. Any municipality that has a water system is required to provide the report to its citizens. According to City Administrator Ryan Schlabaugh, their report shows the water is safe and well within the parameters established by the state. The report will be available on the city’s website in the coming weeks.
