An annual Relay for Life event will be held in Washington tonight. To kick off the holiday weekend, the Relay for Life 5k and 10k will take place starting at 6:30 p.m. Kati Peiffer, a volunteer with Relay, explains, the course starts in front of JP’s 207, and will go through the Sunset Park and the Kewash Trail. She adds the group is hoping for 50 participants and she invites others to attend as well by cheering runners on or joing for the post-race reception at JP’s 207. All of the proceeds from the 5k and 10k will be given to the American Cancer Society. Registration begins at 5 p.m. with the race at 6:30 p.m. For more information listen to today’s Washington Page.
