Goals for the upcoming school year for both the school board and the superintendent were discussed at this week’s Washington School Board meeting. The board discussed their goals of increasing parental involvement, communicating with the community regarding facility stewardship and future needs, determining level of student engagement and increasing student achievement. Student achievement levels will vary for each building.

Superintendent goals reflected the school board’s goals including communicating the needs of facilities, gathering data regarding student engagement, bullying and educational climate, working to develop alternatives to traditional parent teacher conferences and tracking student achievement.

The goals will be finalized and approved at August’s school board meeting at Lincoln Elementary on August 13th.
