A project in downtown Washington will soon provide wireless internet in Central Park. The Washington Public Library received a $2,000 mini grant from the Washington County Riverboat Foundation last week for the downtown wireless project. The grant will cover the full project costs. Director of the library, Debbie Stanton, states the hope of the project is to assist with events that happen downtown so communication and marketing can be conducted more easily. She adds it is not known at this time the exact coverage area as the additional wireless access point will be added to the library’s current wireless system.
