Opal Mercer

A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial for 95 year old Opal Mercer of Washington will be held Friday (9/5) at 2 pm at the Halcyon House in Washington with Father Bernie Weir. Burial will be held prior to the memorial mass at 10 am Friday, at the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.Visitation will be held Thursday (9/4) from 5-7 pm at the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. A memorial  fund has been established for Pleasantview Home, Halcyon House, Kalona Public Library and Hospice of Washington County.

Funeral Services for 84 year old Amy Gregory of Riverside will be at 10:00 Thursday (9/4) morning at St. Mary’s Church in Riverside. Visitation will be Wednesday (9/3) from 4-8pm at the Sorden-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Riverside. Burial will be in the Calvary Cemetery in Carthage, IL. Follow the mass at the church, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the St. Mary’s Church in Riverside.
