Washington Township Elementary students can look forward to central air when they head back to class August 20th. The installation of the $130,000 heating and air conditioning system was the first of many projects to be funded by a $10.6 million bond issue approved by Mid-Prairie voters in April. The school was the only district building without air conditioning. The next bond project is the geothermal system and addition for the Home School Assistance Program at the Middle School. According to Superintendent Mark Schneider, they hope to put the work up for bid in January.
