A bridge over Dutch Creek on G-38, also known as Old Highway 92, will be replaced with bridge funds and farm to market funds. The Washington County Board of Supervisors approved the federal aid agreement with the Iowa Department of Transportation for Highway Bridge Program funds at this week’s meeting. County Engineer Jacob Thorius stated the project is likely to take place in the summer of next year after the project is let this winter. The replacement of the more than 50-year-old bridge is estimated to cost $800,000.
