The City of Washington is making changes to how nuisances are enforced. Building and Zoning Official Steve Donnolly presented a new spreadsheet that has been created to better track and log the complaints and nuisances in the city. Donnolly explained the spreadsheet deals with a variety of complaints including, trash, weeds, junk cars and others. He added in the month of July there were 49 complaints, the average is 50 to 60 each month.

Council member Kathy Salazar added constituents have told her they have seen a difference lately. City Administrator Brent Hinson stated they are making several efforts to improve and they are looking to hire a part-time code enforcement employee to assist in the effort.
