In the fourth game in three years, the Washington Demons start the season against their new rivals in Pella tonight for the first game of the season.

Both team have a lot of history, dating back to last year when the Dutch beat the Demons during the regular season at home, and then Washington returned the favor in the state quarterfinals to go to the dome.

Both team’s quarterbacks return for this game, with Washington’s Daryn Seibelius and Pella’s Noah Clayberg. Both teams have been known for their running games in the past years, but Washington could open up with some passing, while Pella’s Clayberg led the team in rushing last year, and could do so again tonight.

Both times Pella won they were within seven points, while the Demons won 28-0 in the quarterfinal game last year.

Pella’s defense brings back a very experienced secondary, while the Demons bring back an All-Star defensive line that will be called upon to work hard tonight.
