The Washington Police Department is still looking at the dog bite incident that occurred at the National Guard Armory over the weekend. Police Chief Greg Goodman tells KCII News it appears to be a bad accident where four children were feeding and possibly teasing the dog and one was bit. Armory staff had their dog, a Labrador Retriever, on site while doing supervision for a hired out party. Goodman reports the dog is being watched at its home because it had all of its shots and it is not vicious. The dog will be examined by a vet. The child was transported by ambulance to the University of Iowa Hospital Saturday afternoon, her condition is not available due to privacy laws.

KCII News will bring you more information as it becomes official.
