KCII AM 1380 is off air today for some station updates. KCII Radio is adding an FM translator which will provide the station with a new FM signal, 102.5. Chief Operating Officer Michael Suhr states programming on FM 102.5 will be the same as FM 106.1 for the time being with the exception of Friday nights with football broadcasts. Washington Demon football will be live on air on FM 106.1 and Mid-Prairie football will be live on air on the new FM 102.5 this season. Suhr adds both teams will now have live streams on KCIIRadio.com.

Also, the new signal will be stronger than the current AM 1380 signal during the evening hours, which will expand the evening coverage area. While the FM translator is installed today FM 106.1 may be off intermittently due to safety precautions.
