Due to weather, KCII’s new FM translator will be installed tomorrow instead of today. The FM translator will provide KCII a new FM signal, 102.5. Chief Operating Officer Michael Suhr explains this addition will carry live coverage of Mid-Prairie football this fall. This signal will be stronger at 250 watts than the current AM 1380 signal which has to be dropped to 25 watts at night due to FCC regulations.

Also, the Washington Demons will remain on FM 106.1 and each team will now have a stream online, so people may listen anywhere they have internet access. During the installation of the translator AM1380 will be turned off for safety reasons and FM 106.1 may be off intermittently.
