Tanner Knupp, the first Washington County 4-H’er to take part in the Governor’s Charity Steer show, brought in nearly $30,000 with his steer Toby. The show brought in a record $225,850 for the Ronald McDonald Houses of Iowa. Toby was the “People’s Choice” winner and brought in the second highest ever selling steer to date at $29,000. The steer was purchased by Riverside Casino. In total, 25 4-H’ers from across Iowa took part in the 32nd annual show.
